Phil de Courcey
CEO , B.Comm, MBA

Phil has considerable experience in commercial and financial management, including development of businesses.

 

He has had executive and financial responsibilities and has contributed to the leadership of a range of organisations, where he operated in the development of skills and capability of companies.

 

He has experience in finance, marketing and project analysis and management. Phil was previously the CEO of the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC).

Sheree Phillips-Graham
Project Manager - Learning and Development

Sheree joined the RESA team in January 2012 as Project Coordinator based in Adelaide. Originally from Western Australia, Sheree brings to the RESA team a strong background in Skills Development and Workplace Learning. Sheree has been instrumental in the development and management of collaborative Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS) & Department of Education, Employment & Workplace relations (DEEWR) up skilling programs for the Public, Private and Resources sectors at a state and federal level. Sheree has actively facilitated onsite Safety and Frontline Management training for the Construction and Resources industries, as well as provided policy development consultation to Micro and Small and Medium Enterprise's in both a Regional and Metro capacity.  

 

Sheree holds a Bachelor of Education along with Diploma's in HRM, OHS & Management.

Paula Bennet 
Operations Manager

Paula joined the team at RESA in February 2012 as the Regional Manager, based in Port Augusta and was appointed Operations Manager in January 2013.

 

With over ten year's background working across regional Australia, Paula brings a passion for the development and strengthening of regional communities across South Australia, along with strength in communications, public relations and marketing.  During her time in regional Australia, Paula has experience at the Executive Manager level for not-for-profit organisations, worked with small to medium enterprises and worked within international wholesale markets within the travel industry.

 

Paula holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, as well as a Masters in Marketing and is currently undertaking her MBA.

Jayne Osborne
Marketing Manager

 

Jayne Joined the RESA team in June 2012 with a key focus on continuing the growth and success of RESA's annual Skills and Workforce Summit.

 

Jayne managed the 2013 Skills and Workforce Summit which was held at the Adelaide Hilton attracting nationally acclaimed speakers and more than 140 delegates. The Summit included a new feature of a follow on CEO Forum to ensure that issues raised during the Summit would be actioned.

 

With an extensive background in marketing and communications Jayne is responsible for RESA communications and publications such as the bi-monthly e-news, overall marketing and public relations including the RESA corporate website. Governance and strategic planning also fall under Jayne's responsibilities.

 

Jayne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Deakin University, is currently studying a Diploma of Human Resources and recently completed a Vocational Training and Assessment Certificate IV. Send Jayne an email.

Sean Holden
Principal Manager Resources and Mining Pipeline


Based in Port Augusta Sean joined the RESA team as Principal Manager RAMP, January 2013, from his position with the education department.

 

He has an extensive background in local councils, government relations, private enterprise, the public service and the media.

 

His experience in training and skills development comes from his previous role as the Principal Manager of the state government's Resources and Energy Program (REP) linking students with training and jobs in the mining and energy generation sectors.  

 

Sean has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and recently completed an MBA.

 

Currently a member of the Quality Reference Group of the South Australian Training and Skills Commission and on the executive of the Whyalla Chamber of Commerce.

Andrea McCarthy
Project Manager

Andrea undertakes resources industry labour force, skills and workforce research.

 

With an understanding of the 'on the job' skills and requirements Andrea also works with schools , communities and supply chain partners across the state to ensure that the many occupations required to meet the needs of the resources sector are promoted through a series of 'careers roadshows' and information sessions.

 

She also supports the roll-out of skilling projects designed to meet the training needs of existing workers in the resources sector. Andrea works in direct partnership with the Resources and Energy Program (Department of Children's Services) and kindred programs to achieve this.

 

Andrea has a Marketing and Communications degree from the University of South Australia and is currently studying a Diploma of Human Resources,  Vocational Training and Assessment Certificate IV and Frontline Management.

Brad Bennett
Business Development Manager

 

Brad joined RESA in 2013 as the Business Development Manager based RESA's Adelaide office in Fullarton.

 

Brad spent the last 10 years in the mining sector working on major sites throughout Australia.  He has a strong knowledge of the resources sector as well as an indepth understanding of training and management skills.  

 

Commencing his career in the mining industry in 2004 as a Driller, Brad progressed to the position of Training Coordinator in 2009 before spending time running resource sector qualifications for an Adelaide RTO. 

 

Brad holds a Certificate IV in Mineral Drilling, a Certificate IV in OHS, a Certificate IV TAE and a Certificate IV FLM ( Front line management).

Deb Boyd
Project Coordinator

Deb has many years' experience as an independent contractor in a variety of industries including mining, construction, finance, recruiting, insurance and agriculture.

 

Deb's previous roles include business development, event co-ordination, marketing, office management and membership recruitment for non-profit organisations such as the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), SA Chamber of Mines & Energy (SACOME) and the Wine Grape Growers Australia (WGGA).

 

Deb has come on board to support the RESA team with administrative assistance. Deb works part time at RESA on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
